Sweet Viburnum

Sweet Viburnum is an Asian evergreen shrub that can grow up to 20 feet tall and wide. It has large, dark green, glossy leaves and clusters of extremely fragrant, small, white flowers that cover the plant in springtime. The shrub prefers full sun with some afternoon shade. In northern climates, the foliage is semi-evergreen or deciduous. The red berries of the shrub turn to blue black and are attractive to birds, but they are sparingly produced in Florida. Sweet Viburnum is a slow-growing variety of viburnum that grows well as a small shrubby tree or tall evergreen privacy hedge.
